Actor Vijay inaugurated the fourth edition of the metro plus lifestyle show today at Nandambakkam in chennai. The show will be open to public from May 31 to June 5 according to official sources.
Interior and exterior accessories for home and industrial needs will be show cased in this exhibition.

Vijay releases 'Filmfare' magazine Tamil Nadu edition
Filmfare has successfully launched the Tamilnadu edition of its series of magazines. The first issue of this prestigious entertainment magazine was unveiled by ‘Ilayathalapathy` Vijay on Wednesday night, April 25 at Accord Metropolitan, Chennai. The whole media were fervently taking photographs as Vijay unveiled the magazine to everyone present at the venue.

It can be unbelievable for many, but trust us, this news is true. Vijay TV conducted a worldwide poll to decide on who the fans think would be the next Superstar. And to the delight of Ilayathalapathy's fans, they have come to the conclusion that Vijay is indeed the Next Superstar.
The award function held by Vijay TV, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai was attended by a host of celebrities. Some among them included Dr Kamalhaasan, ILAYATHALAPATHY Vijay, Chiyaan Vikram, Prabhu, Sathyaraj, Dharani, Jeeva, Cheran, PC Sreeram, Ravi K Chandran, SP Balasubramanian, Janaki, Saroja Devi, Vivek, Prabudeva and many others
The function started with a carnatic song followed by a Bharatnatyam piece. The function then went on at full swing with awards from various categories being presented to the winners.
First, Chiyaan Vikram arrived at the function. Then the big moment came when the star of the show, Vijay arrived with his wife for the function. A huge round of applause reverberated throughout the stadium. All who had gathered, turned around at the entry of Vijay. The atmosphere had got electric by the presence of Vijay. Dr Kamalhaasan arrived at the function and got close to an equally great reception.
Finally, the award for Vijay was to be announced. Yuhi Sethu announced the award in the following way
"There can be various stars, but there can be only Sun who cannot be reached. Similarly, there is only one Superstar and that is, Rajinikanth and reaching him is very tough. But the next Superstar is Vijay, for his excellence in giving hits. He started with Rasigan and Deva, then changed onto a romantic hero in Kadaluku Mariyadhai, Thullatha Manamum Thullum, Kushi and he then boosted his career with the mega-hit Ghilli and then he reached unbelievable heights with Thirupachi, Sivakaasi, etc which no one else can think of attaining. His comedy, his fights, his dance, his sentiments, he is like a complete package. He is liked by everybody. We are very proud to present this award to Ilayathalapathy Vijay on the behalf of the fans and the whole film industry and we are sure that Vijay will continue to live as the Next Superstar of Tamil Cinema"
Dr Kamalhaasan issued the award to Ilayathalapathy Vijay, and "The Next Superstar" Vijay received this award from the legend with all happiness. As usual, Vijay wished all his fans and well wishers and thanked them for their unflinching support. He said "I am very happy to receive this award. The fans have given me this award. I am not sure if I deserve this award. But still, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me this award. I thank everyone for all their support and love." Saying this, Vijay concluded his speech.
Dr Kamalhaasan was also conferred an award for his outstanding achievements in Tamil Cinema. Actor Vikram received an award for the "Youth Icon".

About My Thalapathy Vijay
Vijay (born Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar on June 22, 1974) is an Indian film actor. He began his career doing minor roles as a child artist in the Tamil cinema industry, while also attending a theatre for stage plays, to follow his dream to act. After five years of minor and unnoticed roles in Tamil language films, Vijay gained Indian cinema's attention in 1996 by playing the role of Raja in Poove Unakkaga, his first blockbuster and since then he has acted in over forty Indian films, with his main intention being Tamil language ventures, earning him the title of Ilayathalapathy in 1996, the title name is now mentioned in the credits of all his projects.Vijay comes from a family which has strong experience in the film industry. Father, S. A. Chandrasekar is a popular director and mother Shobha is an accomplished playback singer. Vijay performs predominantly in leading roles in medium-budget films, ranging from romantic comedies and drama to action thrillers. His most popular films include Poove Unakkaga (1996), Kadhalukku Mariyadhai (1997), Kushi (2000) and Ghilli (2004).Vijay was born on June 22 to S.A. Chandrasekhar and Shoba Chandrasekhar. He had a sister named Vidhya who died when she was just two. Vijay studied Visual Communications at Loyola College, but dropped out to pursue an acting career.He married a Srilankan Tamil Hindu girl Sangeetha on 25th August 1999.
